Clifton Ingram is once again one of the top donating Will Aid law firms nationally by raising over £12,500 for charity during its recent Will Aid campaign.
Will Aid is an annual charity fundraising initiative, held each November, during which Clifton Ingram draws up basic Wills for new clients participating in the scheme for no charge, asking in return that the Will-maker made a donation to the Will Aid charities.
Clifton Ingram has taken part in seven Will Aid schemes, and this year’s result means they have raised a grand total of over £64,400 for the Will Aid charities. The money raised is shared by 9 UK charities, including ActionAid, Age UK, British Red Cross, Christian Aid, NSPCC, Save the Children, SCIAF in Scotland, Sightsavers and Trocaire in Northern Ireland.
Emma McCarthy, Partner, at Clifton Ingram said, “Will Aid is a very worthwhile cause and also assists local people in tidying up their affairs. Intestacy is a nightmare to deal with. It takes longer, costs more and people you don’t really know may end up receiving your estate instead of those close to you. Making a Will with the Will Aid scheme is a great way to ensure your wishes are carried out while also helping charities.”
Will Aid Campaign Manager, Shirley Marsland, said: “The Will Aid charities are so grateful for the hard work of the team at Clifton Ingram – we can put the money raised to immediate use to make a real and immediate difference to the lives of the people in need in the UK and all over the world.”
